Sikkens introduced the world’s first commercially viable waterborne clearcoat earlier this year, completing its waterborne range which includes a waterborne primer Autosurfacer WB, Autowave and Autoclear WB. With excellent colour accuracy and fast drying, tests have shown the Autowave system to be the leading waterborne range.

Sikkens also introduced the world’s first two-pack system and the world’s first clear over-base system. It is currently developing UV technology to bring this advanced coatings system to the market in the future. UV technology will dramatically cut curing times to around 6 minutes with no compromise in either application or finish.
